  1. Teachers’/Caregivers Resource books on how to use the learning framework for children 3-4 years, 4- 5 years and 5 – 6 years. These were published by Develop Brains Uganda. These books aim at supporting the Teachers’/Caregivers efforts in using the learning framework. It provides specific children’s activities and procedure the teachers’/caregivers can follow to engage children in learning through play.

 

  1. Readers for Primary One, two and three. We have developed the following readers.
    1. Opio and Apio for primary one
    2. Okello and Alice for primary two, Term 1
    3. Amina of Loro village for primary two, Term 2
    4. Otim Martin for primary two, Term 3
    5. The Broken Bridge for primary three, Term 1

 

These readers provide an opportunity to children to practice reading the vocabulary words covered in the different themes drawn from the Thematic Curriculum in a story form. We are in the process of developing the readers for primary three terms 2 and 3.

 

  1. Reading made Easy with phonics Book 1, 2 and 3. After the Ministry of Education and Sports made it a policy for all schools in Uganda to start teaching Reading in English using the phonics method, the firm developed both a teachers’ guide and a pupil book 1, 2 and 3.

 

These books are designed to provide guidance to the teacher on how to teach phonics to children. The pupil book provides reading activities in sequential order, which helps the pupil to master the sounds, blend and read words and there after practice reading sentences and simple stories.
